Car rental

The best way to explore the island and all its hidden beaches is by car. Upon request we are happy to provide you with two reliable and reasonably priced car rental companies on the island. Please contact us for more information.

Electricity
On Curaçao the power plugs and sockets are of type A, B and F. The standard voltage is 110 / 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Our apartments are equipped with both 110 V and 220 V power plugs.

Currency
The national currency on the island is the Netherlands Antilles florin or ‘guilder’. The U.S. dollar is also accepted everywhere with a fixed exchange rate of: USD 1 = 1.75 NA florin. In addition, all major credit/debit cards are widely accepted.

Beaches

City Beach 88, situated next to PM78, is a cozy beach in the middle of Pietermaai. Enjoy the lovely sun beds, good pizza, cozy happy hours and beautiful sunsets.

Marichi Beach: public city beach with a pier from where you can easily access the ocean. Situated between Pietermaai and Punda. Sunbeds for rent.

Within 5 minutes by car you may find the popular beaches “Mambo” and “Cabana beach” on the Sea Aquarium Boulevard. These sandy beaches offer happy hours, music, shops and the Sea Aquarium with dolphin shows in open water.

Another very popular (and touristic) beach is Jan Thiel beach, situated in Jan Thiel within 15 minutes’ drive.
